Shelter-Sky Foundation

The Sky Foundation was created in Lasi Romania in 2010 (between 2005 and 2010, it existed as an association) to rescue animals in distress and promote respect for animal life.

The Sky Foundation does not receive any state funding, which makes its mission even more difficult, in a country where animal rights represent the last concern of the authorities.

The shelter is located in the village of Tiganasi, where there are permanently more than 400 animals (dogs, cats, horses and donkeys). All the animals in the shelter live freely during the day, it is only in the evening that the dogs return to their enclosures where they find their full bowls and the kennels waiting for them to spend the night warm.
