The Sky Foundation was created in Lasi Romania in 2010 (between 2005 and 2010, it existed as an association) to rescue animals in distress and promote respect for animal life. The Sky Foundation does not receive any state funding, which makes its mission even more difficult, in a country where animal rights represent the last concern of the authorities.
